Workey is a nifty little tool to make using keys easier. Simply slide it on to the key you want to use and hey presto! Brilliantly, it is small enough to be carried around on a keyring with your keys. It looks stylish and sits unobtrusively among your keys.
It’s designed to make the surface area of the key that you are gripping larger, and to give more leverage. Great if you’re trying to get back into your house with cold or gloved hands, if you have shaky hands or reduced grip strength.

Dimensions: 5.3 x 2 x 0.7 cm
Material: Zinc alloy with silicon lining
Workey is the brainchild of designer Geoff Rolandsen, who was inspired to create something pretty and good when he realised his father, who has arthritis, was struggling to use keys. Recognising that being able to use keys is, well, ‘key’ to independence, Geoff set about prototyping something his father could easily pocket and rely on.
Fast forward a few years and Geoff won a place on the Design Council Spark programme, where he was able to work with Arthritis Research UK to test and refine the idea. He now has more ideas in the pipeline and we’re excited to see what they are. Good work, Geoff!
